Makeup Artist Carving
“Makeup Artist” is carved in basswood, painted in acrylic, and is approximately 24″X 24″. The clients asked me to create a piece of artwork that would hang over a beautiful custom made vanity they recently had received.
I drew up a sketch of the vanity, added a few more hats to the stack, embellished a few items sitting there and created a carved cartoon of the whole scene including the couples pets, wedding photo, etc., and of course the classy half of this couple putting on her makeup.
What fun this was to do!
